Reminiscing about our time at the RHS Chelsea Flower show.

We wish everyone well in the lead up to the Royal Chelsea Flower Show. We know how stressful this whole experience can be for all the exhibitors, and hope that your plants are doing what they need to be doing and flowers are blooming, after a very testing Spring.

If you are visiting the show this year we have come up with some tips on how to make your experience as fabulous and enjoyable as possible!

Our top tips for a successful time at the Royal Chelsea Flower Show are…

  1. Well prepared – Make sure you have the most comfy footwear – a lot of miles will be walked looking around the stands, gardens and searching the perfect lunch spot. Don’t forget a good strong bag and notebook for jotting down plant names, ideas and designs and carrying away those bargains.
  2. Great Pavilion – Some of the best nurseries in the world are exhibitors at Chelsea, and they share a passion for their product. Ask them anything, they are always happiest talking about our plants, giving advice -and can help you achieve the best results at home. If you like a particular species, pencil in a time to go and see the stand so you don’t miss out (especially good on sell-off Saturday!)
  3. Pick up leaflets and handouts, let people know what you like and follow them on social media -It’s a great way to keep up with what is on offer and you can stay in touch with any updates and gardening tips.
  4. Enjoy yourself! – Lastly and most importantly enjoy the experience, get inspired, see what the judges liked and see if you agree- that could influence your future garden design. Make connections of your own, meet new people that have the same love for flowers and gardening as you. Be inspired and amazed by the huge talent that spend their year building up to this event to show us that possibilities are almost endless as long as you have a vision.

We wish you all a great Chelsea Flower Show 2018 and hope the sun shines on you all.
